Happy Birthday!

My sweet Lizzie turned two last week. It's hard to believe she's two!

Some words that describe her are: little, snuggly, obedient, curious, loving, blonde.

Lizzie likes to play with her babies.

Lizzie doesn't like to have to take a nap.

Lizzie likes to eat snacks.

Lizzie doesn't like to eat peas or beans or anything green.

Lizzie likes her binkie and a soft piece of fabric for bed time.

Lizzie doesn't like putting pants on.

Lizzie likes to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, little Star," "Itsy bitsy Spider" and "Jesus wants Me for a Sunbeam."

Lizzie doesn't like being put in the car to run errands.

Lizzie likes to play "Ring Around the Rosie."

Lizzie doesn't like being wrapped in a blanket by her brothers and then tickled to death.

I like everything about Lizzie.

Oh, Lizzie, if I could but see you so happy.

Today is my Little Lizzie's first birthday! Happy birthday to Lizzie!

Turning one is such a milestone...forward facing car seat, whole milk, no more worrying about SIDS. And it is usually a reminder that my baby just isn't a baby. That part always makes me sad.

Luckily for me, my Lizzie is ALL baby. She is a tiny little one-year-old. I'm not sure of her percentiles; we go to pediatrician tomorrow. She still fits in her 6-9 month stuff. I put her in a 12 month outfit today and it's ginormous! She's not walking yet and she is not very verbal. She laughs a lot and makes noise but no recognizable words. She is the most laid back baby...hardly ever cries and when she does it's more of a whine. She is content doing whatever whether its being confined to her play area, going for long errand trips in the car, staying with friends or playing with siblings. I have to say that she seems to prefer to be held by me. I love taking her little bitty self and snuggling her and holding her. Lizzie enjoys meal times and likes to sort her foods by color. Anything green goes on the floor. Not a fan of the vegetable. She also likes playing with the kids...they are very entertaining. We all like to call her "The Lizard."

We are having a party for her on Saturday. I'm planning something really fun and I am so excited about it!

Congratulations, Lizzie, on your first year! Love you!

LIfe moves pretty fast...

Today is Lizzie's 6th month birthday! I can't hardly believe it. Time is flying by. In another six months, she'll be turning 1 and then six months after that she'll be in Nursery.

Lizzie is the most wonderful, darling baby. This is the face that greets me each morning. I am still committing the cardinal sin of baby sleep habits by letting her sleep with us. I am working on a solution and I see her out of our room within the next month or so.

Yesterday, Anna was commenting that she thought Lizzie seemed much more babyish than Lucy did at six months. I didn't understand what she meant at first but now I think she is right. I haven't been worried too much about "What to expect this month..." I was so much more worried about all that with the other children. Not with Lizzie. We spend a lot of time cuddling, napping, kissing, laughing and snuggling. She is rolling over with gusto and loves to wave toys around and eat them. She says "meh" to eating solid foods. She loves to nurse and MIRACLE OF MIRACLES, I do too!! She still is very baby and I love it.
